Question: do you think computers could save the human race

Hi chrisp, I think computers can help the human race, I know I rely on computers a lot for my work and this has increased in recent years. Some of the experiments that I used to do which would take a long time now take a couple of hours and are done by computers and automation / robots – and they can get through a lot more data than I could in weeks so we are making discoveries quicker and we are able to apply the discoveries in lots of new ways.
I don’t really know whether computers could save the human race, i suppose it depends on what we would need saving from first – natural disaster, war, disease etc. Again I think computers will help the human race solve some problems, I’m in the camp that although we can use computers to do things we can’t we should always be able to outwit computers
