• Question: My budgie refuses to talk, despite me trying for 3 years now! He also bites. Is this anything serious?

      I don’t think that is anything to be worried about.

      Budgies can learn to repeat sounds that they hear over and over again – but they have to hear them LOTS of times to remember them. Maybe you could try saying the same word (try hello) to him ten times every day. He might eventually learn to repeat it, but it will take a long time.

      Budgies can bite when they are scared, or if they are not very tame and do not like to be touched. You can try and tame him, just by spending time with him and slowly increasing how much you touch him.

      But I wouldn’t be worried! It sounds like he is just a normal budgie!
