      Great question!

      The most common problem animals get is probably fleas. Fleas are little insects that live on the skin and fur of our pets. They bite the animal and make them itchy. They suck blood out of the animal when they bite! But animals have lots of blood so that doesn’t normally cause a problem. Fleas can be killed very easily with medication that you put onto the skin of your animal.

      Another illness that is very common is ear infections. An ear infection is when bad bacteria (germs) get into the ears of a dog or cat. It makes their ears very itchy and sore. We treat it by giving them antibiotics into their ears, and by trying to keep their ears clean.
